The wine has a clear and bright aspect.

The remarkably elegant nose is dominated by lemon and hawthorn aromas with notes of pear.

From a balanced and highly refined attack, the mid-palate leaves an impression of volume, substance and freshness.

Very complex, it reveals mineral and buttery notes and attractive oak as well as citrus, almond and hazelnut flavours, leading into a long and refined finish.

2014 began with a particularly mild winter: average temperatures in the first three months of the year were 2 °C higher than usual.

Budbreak came early as a result, starting on 15 March, ten days earlier than in an average year.

After a wet and mild April, May and June were cool and dry.

Flowering took place from 26 May to 6 June, two days earlier than in an average year.

July and August were rather cool, with regular rainfall.

Veraison started on 27 July and ended on 10 August, usual dates for the Domaine’s Chardonnay vines.

A hot September enabled the grapes to ripen slowly and kept the crop in perfect health.

The Chardonnay parcels were harvested in fine weather a week later than in an average year.
