Budbreak took place during the first two weeks of April, in line with the average for the last ten years. Flowering occurred from 8 to 18 June in dry weather.<\/p>\n<p>The summer was much less hot than in 2003. Low but regular rainfall in July and August meant that the vines did not suffer from drought.<\/p>\n<p>Mirroring the vegetation cycle, the crop reached optimum maturity at the usual date.<\/p>\n<p>Picking began with the Merlot on 4 October and continued under good conditions, producing a very high quality crop, rich in polyphenols.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After the untypical conditions of 2003, the usual weather patterns of the Limoux region returned in 2004.
