Domaine de Baron’arques 2012

A lovely, deep and glittering ruby red, the wine has a subtle and pleasant nose with a seductive aromatic complexity. On airing, scents of rose and peony mingle with notes of blackberry, raspberry and jammy fruit, enhanced by attractive toasted aromas. The attack is clearly defined and full and the well-balanced palate reveals black fruit flavours together with notes of roasted coffee and cocoa. The mid-palate is dense and pleasantly fresh, with a fine tannic structure, while the long and succulent finish displays pleasant coffee and spice notes.
